Ondine is grateful for the inner peace that art and Yoga have given her. Being one with the process of creating and practicing, is thrilled to share the beauty of truly being in the moment. As a visual artist, Ondine has built an impressive body of work, and is known mainly for her abstract expressionist pieces. She has been fortunate enough to show her work across Canada, and internationally. Her European exhibit at Lo Studio Schlossgasse in Germany was a dream come true. Her favourite exhibit was with sculptor and friend Mitchell Kotansky, Raw & Visceral.
Ondine began her education while living abroad in London, England at the age of eighteen. She returned to Montreal to study Fine Arts at Dawson College, then received her BFA with Honours at York University in Toronto in 1993. Upon graduation she joined a team of artists commissioned to restore the beautiful decorative church, the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa, in honour of Pope John Paul's visit.
Ondine moved back to Montreal in 1992, after a short career as a decoy duck painter, she became a muralist. For fifteen years she traveled throughout Canada, working for companies like Levi, Buffalo Jeans, Ben and Jerry's, Intrawest, however, her favorite murals where all the beautiful baby rooms she painted in homes throughout Montreal.
Ondine has been teaching art to children since 2003 and adults since 2018. She especially loves seeing the beauty of sharing the process of art making with her students. She is founder of ~Ondine's Art Studio~, a magical unforgettable place for art classes and art workshops. Small class size, individual attention, and a focus on self-expression are the hallmarks of her classes. She is well known for her favorite expression (ask any of her students): "There are no mistakes in art" .
