Ondine Guralnick grateful for the inner peace that art and Yoga have given her, and being one with the process of creating and practicing, is thrilled to share the beauty of truly being in the moment. As a visual artist, Ondine has built an impressive body of work, and is known mainly for her abstract expressionist pieces, She has been fortunate enough to have her work across Canada, and internationally. Her last European exhibit at Lo Studio Schlossgasse in Büdingen Germany was a dream come true.
She began her education when living aboard in London, England at the age of 18. She came back to Montreal and started studying in Fine Arts at Dawson College, then moved to Toronto and received her BFA wth Honors at York University 1993. Once graduated she was hired to be apart of a team of artists to restore the beautiful decorative church, the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa in honor of Pope John Pauls visit.
When Ondine moved back to Montreal a year later, and after a short career as a decoy duck painter, she became a muralist. During those 20 years she traveled through Canada, working for company's like Buffello Jean, Ben and Jerrys, and Intrawest. However her favorites murals where all the beautiful baby rooms she painted throughout homes in Montreal.
And for the last 15 years been teaching children art. She especially loves seeing the beauty of sharing the process of art making with her students, and also the wonderful impact it has had in so many of her special needs students. She is founder of ~Ondine's Art Studio~, a magical unforgettable place for art classes, art workshops and ~A lot of ART (a little YOGA) Day Camp~ which just had it's 10th year anniversary. Small class size, individual attention, and a focus on self-expression are the hallmarks of her classes. She is well known for her favorite expression, ask any of her students, "there are no mistakes in art" .
